Rain on your head
I offer my umbrella
there’s a catch here.

The catch is, why offer an umbrella to someone,
and getting wet in the process?

Allow me a suggestion. Why not share the ambrella, follow the person home and get an extra walk home in the “lovely” rain. Your thoughtful mother.

ah yes that might be an idea – but the purpose by offering an umbrella to someone in distress could be far more romantic…

Offering, whatever it is, has a purpose whether its selfish helpful or with a clever plan and a certain result in mind – and it’s just a thought anyway.
