Oh this is strange coincidence Ashi…I was almost framing a haiku along these lines….but with a subtle difference
I have neighbour friend..a lady who stays alone after the death of her husband and a son… Its just hopeless silence in her life — one should meet her to know what i mean…
And she was telling me that every evening she could hear the footsteps of her husband coming back from work..and the son running up the stairs — she is a Keralite too and we friends and her family where persuading her to go back, but she wouldn’t leave…until last week she shifted back…
so many just pulling on….how do we share their pain, even if we have the mind!
anyway, your poem took me to her….Hope she is fine there now…she is from the same district as my husband’s
Yeah it’s not the same story no, mine is more ah quite one, I was walking with my dog Cassie in a small forest, no wind, dead silent except from the tiny sounds from my boot crushing the forest ground of small branches and empty shells of hazelnuts
