I am ready
for the storm
but
I stand here on my hill all alone
the hour has come
your are fading
in a mist a memory
sad dream trouble
rule my sleep
in the danger zone
a cry that this goodbye
is but an au revoir
I don’t believe it
here in the city light
of unknown danger.

Peace loving, but my mind’s always ready for a storm!
and the ending…so finely said
faith and belief — in God and manis put to test time and again..

I think if I looked back through my notebooks I’ve written poems with similar sentiment – it speaks to us all at some time – probably about 1994 for me
