Next door’s dog
barking no more
Heaven sent
A sequel to this poem from Kouji
which again is brewed on this poem from Andrew
Background for my little contribution is the story of my dog Cassie
and the neighbour’s dog.
First time they meet, the next door’s dog went mad barking at my dog.
She took it very calmly, like, that she didn’t understand the fuss.
The second time though the neighbour dog started again barking, and Cassie
didn’t take it lightly this time, thought it had to make a statement, and started too.
Ever since the two of them went crazy, when ever they saw each other.
The next door’s dog was an old dog, and it recently got some illness, which required
some medicine, but soon the troubled was with the heart and other things too.
So the owner decided to let the dog have its finally rest.
Cassie do not know this and it will take a very long time before she stops looking for her enemy.

she peers back…
over her nervous shoulders
the enemy’s ghost
Cassie will know soon enough… a fine one, Ashi.

Thank You Magyar, I’m not sure about the nervous part though.
Thanks for delivering part four of this haiku journey.
Good one and thanks for providing the background story to go with it.
