A pebble thrown at Tønder
ripples of music
travel far away
By getting together
the best place is Visemøllen.
More or less comfortable placed,
there is far to the bar.
a chain reaction must be activated
before the beer reaches your thirsty throat,
but the mood is good
surprises are on the menu
From Line Dance
to the traveling man’s blues
and remember
always carry a coin in your back pocket.
a bit of agreed talk for some
I know
but come to Tønder Folk Festival
and especially Visemøllen next year
Where there is a willpower there’s a seat,
but it’s best to book in advance
Last weekend of Summer
the sun went on vacation

Our German Shepherd dog Cassie is no longer as from yesterday. Hip dysplasia amongst other complications did it.

some years ago I went to a concert with The McCalmans and wrote a “poem talk” in Danish, I have translated it now more than 4 years after:
The concert was a birthday gift
I was delighted looking forward to this event
To use a modern word, at least in Danish.
After a long drive
We arrived at Holstebro.
A small beer at Fox & Hounds
We had the time.
Later we found the place me and my soul mate,
Knudsen’s a small cozy venue
Moreover recently restored.
We came into the hall -
It was here we realized
Was it really the right place?
Well it was the right place.
We looked at our fellow audience for this concert
And our doubt came back.
Was this really McCalmans on the poster?
We came in
And the musicians came on stage
Well luckily it was McCalmans
That means it took a while to recognize Ian and Nick
Ian’s gray hair – Nick’s a bit squared body
But the sound – voices did not disappoint.
Then it dawned on me
We were among the mature audience with some of their favorite musicians
They looked older – maybe even older -
I wonder how did we look?
It is time to admit, albeit reluctantly
We did not get any younger ourselves.
We follow time
We are older – yes
But our minds are still young
And that is good -
And if Mike Jagger
Can jerk around on stage
In his retirement
at full blast of his youth music
Then we can maintain our youth by listening to the music from our youth.
And despite age
our mind is what counts.
After this poem-talk I made a Haiga, going to yet another concert or rather a festival, we call it “Late Summer Rock” 2010, and one of the bands was “copy” band (a sound like band) the Led Zeppelin Jam. Under this concert I stood again among the fans of late Led Zeppelin from 1970’teens and the only difference was the gray hair, but the delight of the sound was the same.
